Managing your beauty routine can be tiring and expensive. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you didn’t have to worry about putting on makeup everyday? People all around are choosing to get cosmetic tattoos for a variety of reasons. Whether for pure vanity or medical reasons, cosmetic tattoos are becoming more popular, but are they really worth it?

The most obvious benefits would be the money that can be saved by skipping out on beauty runs to the drug store or getting someone to arch them for you. Now women can get looks done up without actually having to put in the effort. One woman even chose to get her lips tattooed in a pink hue because her favorite shade of lipstick was being discontinued.  Other women choose cosmetic tattoos to cover the side effects of medical treatments ranging from alopecia to stroke.  Despite these benefits, there are some downsides to the tattoos.

Just like any tattoo, the results are permanent and there is always a chance for error. For instance, if someone decided to get her eyebrows done should make sure that the arch  fits their face  so the results look natural. There are also reports that certain inks can fade over time, making some hues turn red or greenish over time depending on the skin tone of the client.This requires that clients go back for touch ups in a number of years. There are rare cases were tattoos can become infected or a client has an allergic reaction to the ink.

If you decide that you want one of these tattoos, be sure to do your research and find a trustworthy professional to service you. Ask for photos of their work, and snoop around for recommendations from others or online. Make sure the artists traces the tattoo on first so you know that it's exactly what you want.
