It's been a good while since we heard anything new from any of the members from 2NE1. The YG camp has been pretty busy promoting Psy and GD, while our favorite ladies from 2NE1 have been laying low. Now, YG has released a monster of a song from the group's fearless leader,CL , that is going to have fans abusing the replay button.
Singer K. Michelle finally gives her fans music to listen to from her. With all the drama she's in on the reality show Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, it may surprise people that K. Michelle actually has pipes. She releases the song "V.S.O.P" (Very Special Other Person). In my honest opinion, I think the song is good, but that's it. It's defiantly an R&B tone with K. Michelle screaming singing out her vocal. See if you all like the song. For those of you that are unaware K. Michelle will not be returning for another season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, instead she will be on the spin-off Love & Hip-Hop New York.
Joseph Gordon Levitt has been killing my newsfeed on Facebook constantly talking about his latest movie Don Jon. After watching the trailer, it looks like a pretty good movie. I think guys will like the movie the most. Levitt wrote and directed the movie. Scarlett Johansson co-stars in the movie, another reason why the movie will please the guys. Here's a bit more about the film from IMDb:
"A New Jersey guy dedicated to his family, friends, and church, develops unrealistic expectations from watching porn and works to find happiness and intimacy with his potential true love."
I might go and see this movie when it comes out on October 18th. Check out the trailer
Greek life may be one of the most defining aspects of college. Many of you may dream of joining a Sorority or Fraternity before entering college, but there are a few things you need to think about before you join.
It's Never Too Late:
You do not have to join your first year in college. In fact, some of my high school friends joined their sophomore and junior year. I think this is a great idea because your freshman year should give you the opportunity to research and ask others opinions about the Sorority or Fraternity of your interest.
Here's a no brainier for college students: tuition is expensive as heck. Every year tuition continues to go up pushing some students to hustle up the money in some really crazy ways. We research some of the ways people have paid for tuition and want to share them with you. Before we start, we'd just like to say that these are some ways students have/are paying for tuition. We aren't encouraging any of them. Especially not the first.
Ever thought of getting a rich guy to pay for your tuition in exchange for friendship? Reports have been buzzing about college girls seeking wealthy men to help pay for their college tuition and other expenses. Websites are springing up that help sugar daddies meet sugar babies. The sites are meant to sell companionship, but as one sugar baby admits, the physical side of the relationship is discussed later. Although it seems that these sights mainly target college women, there are also options for men to find a sugar mama as well.
We know we're late with this music review of Selena Gomez's song "Come and Get", but it's better late than never. After seeing Selena's performances at this year's Billboard Music Awards, we can not help but like the song. Many people are bashing Selena's performances on Twitter, saying it looks similar to a high school production and she can't sing live. We felt bad for her.
I know I'm late with this book review. I remember telling you all about Sara Shepard releasing a new book call Twisted, but I never got a chance to read it until now. First, many fans are disappointed with the book release of Twisted because many thought that the eighth book, Wanted, is a great way to end the Pretty Little Liars series. I cannot agree with them anymore. I've read books 1-8 and thought the series ended good, but part of me wants the story to continue.
I listen to the song "Latch" everyday. I really like the sound of the song because it reminds me of Prince mixed with Boy George. The original song is by the British group Disclosure while Sam Smith sings the vocals. Smith is amazing! I am so happy that he sings an acoustic version of the song. See if the song will be stuck in your head to.
Lana Del Rey recently release the video to her song "Young & Beautiful." The song is off the soundtrack of the latest movie The Great Gatsby. I really like this song. I am listening to it all day. It really goes well with the love life of Daisy and Gatsby. See if you think the same by watching the video below.
I love the movie, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, so much that I've chosen to read the book. The book was written by Stephen Chbosky, who also wrote and directed the movie. The book was short, only 224 pages long, and it discusses the life of a 15-year-old boy named Charlie.
Finals are over, now it's time to recap some of the highlights of my second year in college. If I can describe my second year in one word, it will be effort. I must say that I have put an effort to try different tasks this year. Some of them did not go as plan, but it helps me to accept disappointment and face my fears. A while back I posted a few goals that I've hoped to accomplish this year, and some I did attempt to try while other are left behind.

The only thing we knew about college before we got there was what we saw on TV. Everybody was in a sorority, drunk, and it all looked easy and fun. TV lied. Finding our space, figuring everything out, and taking our first steps into adulthood were all things we had to deal with. We want to bring you our college experience -the good, the bad, and the ugly -and teach you what we're learning along the way. That's what the Students' Lifestyle is all about.
