Cool Down Montgomery6:29 AM
This steamy heat is the perfect excuse to go dig into some cool sweet treats. Of course you can always stay inside and bury yourself in store bought ice cream, but if you ever find yourself out and about in Montgomery, here are a few places you can go to to cool down.
Nancy's Italian Ice
This is one of my favorite places to get a sweet treat in Montgomery. Located on Vaughn Road, right across from AMC theaters, this sweet spot serves a variety of Italian Ice for the city to enjoy. You can either get a (Italian Ice topped with ice cream) and they come in flavors like Tiger's Blood, Mango, Lemonade and more. This place gets busy quick, so if you have time while in Montgomery, make sure to stop by.
Smoothies n Things
Save yourself from the heat downtown by stopping into this local cool spot for some great mixed smoothies. They have many options of drinks and you can mix and match flavors to your liking. They now have happy hour Wednesdays and Thursday nights were drinks are half price, featuring their lemon zest flavor!
Located in Old Cloverdale, this little cafe shop serves gelato and sandwiches. So when you are down shopping and exploring in Cloverdale, stop in for a quick bite and some gelato.
I always forget about Brewster's on Baugh road because I am hardly on that side of town, but is the best place to get a wide variety of sweet treat sweets. Italian ice, smoothies, and ice cream in flavors like New York cheese cake, vanilla, and more. If you go here all the time, make sure you grab a punch card to get one of your little treats free!
This is one of my favorite places to get a cool, sweet treat in Eastdale Mall. If I am not opting for a Superman icecream cone, i get Death by Chocolateor the Brownie Sundae. It is usually worth the money
Berry Good Frozen Yogurt
Who doesn't love Fro-Yo? Whenever I'm in the mood for some I always think of Berry Good . Located right next to the AMC movie theater, this cool shop is the perfect place for frozen yogurt. Come here to talk about the latest movies over a sweet treat.
